Immunization Requirements

Massachusetts School Immunizations requirements can be found in the document file to the right of this page entitled Immunization Requirements. There is both an English and a Spanish version.  Massachusetts now requires children to be immunized against chicken pox before entry into school and as a result it is a reportable disease and quarantines are required. If a child becomes exposed to chicken pox and has neither been immunized nor has had the disease, he / she is considered potentially infectious from the 10th to the 21st day after exposure. These students will be excluded from school during that period immediately unless high risk situations exist (e.g. a susceptible pregnant or a immunocompromised person ).

If your child qualifies for a medical or religious exemption, please contact your school nurse
